Governor Richardson has signed the legislation abolishing the death penalty in New Mexico!!!!!

Today marks an extraordinary day in the fight to abolish the death penalty.

Legislation abolishing New Mexico's death penalty has been signed by the Governor! The bill replaces capital punishment with a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
