Because true Christianity necessarily leads to conservative political views, of course. That's why Bobby Jindal's Catholicism isn't in question, while Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton (a devout Methodist) are practically the embodiments of Satan.

That said, I'd expect one of Jindal's 2012 primary opponents to try it anyway if they get desperate.
